Do These Make Me Look Too Cute?

I'm seriously in love with Artistry!  This is a layout I did in an afternoon using the overlay cut from Artistry and the alphabet as well with one of my favourite photos of my daughter from years past.

I used Heartstrings (retired), Black cardstock, glue pen, corner rounder and white gel pen.

One tip is that that I used painter's tape to carefully pull up the words from the cutting mat, added glue and then added it to the layout.  Also I purposely made the title not straight because it is impossible for me to do anything in a straight line so I didn't!!  Ha ha!

Have a great day y'all!

You're the Cat's Meow

Had some fun stitching and creating this card, using of course, Artistry!

I used Artistry, Hopscotch paper (retired), our wonderful Stitch Guide and Foam Mat.  The sentiment is from Friendly Pets.

Have a meowy-great day!

Happy Birthday!

I've been in a creative slump lately, too tired I expect, but after a visit with my upline recently, I felt a burst of creativity hit, inspired from one of her cards.

This is my card and am trying to use up product that is retiring so I used Confetti Wishes.

The 'happy birthday' is from our newest Cricut collection Artistry, which as I use it, I'm loving more and more!  I also used our Corner Rounder punch and our Glue Pen.

Hope this card makes you smile, it sure does me :)

Have a great day!

An Artistry Birthday Project

As I mentioned in another post, my hubby's birthday was recently and I just couldn't get the card right for him ... then I discovered the Artistry had a great font which I ended up using.

Also discovered a neat trick that I'll share with you ... I cut the wording out on my Cricut but before it came off the mat, I put some painter's tape over top and really burnished it hard against the cuts.  Then very carefully, I lifted it off the mat, and in the end, all the letters were on the painter's tape exactly how I wanted to place them on the card.  Then I moved the tape to the card and burnished it down onto the card.  I didn't take any photos unfortunately so hopefully you get what I'm meaning.  In a nutshell, I essentially used the painter's tape as transfer tape, if you're familiar with using vinyl in your Cricut.

The running shoes were a sports font I got from dafont.com, as is the runner silhouette.  I also used some assorted washi tape and sequins and Glitter Glitz glue (sadly retired).

On the inside of the card, I used the Artiste cartridge and cut out a gift card holder.  Oh and I also used the Dot embossing folder to emboss the front and part of the gift card holder as well.

It was a fun card to put together!

Have a grand day!

Another Artistry card using the SOTM Framed!

I used our sample image of the Stamp of the Month, Framed, for the inspiration here and love how it turned out!

I used Pacifica ink and Cranberry ink, the Artistry cartridge cut at 1.75" for the sentiment tag, the Artbooking cartridge for the overlay, and miscellaneous scraps of paper (Confetti Wishes is in there too, soon to be retired) cut with a 3/4" and 1/2" punch and glued to the back of the overlay.

Have a lovely day!

Artistry Card

This card is kind of a sneak peak from the new Annual Inspirations catalogue coming out September 1st since I cased the card from an image in it using the new Artistry cartridge - ok, I'm not gonna lie ... I'm gonna love this cartridge! Can't wait to really get going with it!

Here is the card and the CTMH products I used with it :)

I'm still building up my cardstock so don't have all the colours yet (still trying to use up what I have!) but I do have all of the colours in ink pads (except the brand new ones coming out) so I improvised and coloured the white cardstock to the colours I wanted.  The background was simply putting the ink pads directly on an acrylic block and then stamped directly to the paper.  The overlay was cut from Artistry as was the banner and flower ... the sentiment was one of the new stamps you get with the Artistry collection stamped in Lagoon and coloured in with a Shin Han marker.

I'm in love!

Products used:  Lagoon ink, Sunset ink, Goldrush ink, Honey ink, Pacifica ink (and even though I took the picture with the Cranberry ink, looking at the card now, I'm pretty sure I didn't actually use it in this project!), Y222 ShinHan Touch Twin (Golden Yellow) alcohol marker, Artistry cartridge, designed in Design Space,  3D foam tape, mini-glue dots, Glitter Glitz glue (retired)

Have a fabulous day!
