Embossing Folder Love!

I love our new embossing folders and I love that I found yet another way of using them here.  Our folders have a 4-1/4" opening at the top (hmmm, now I'm thinking it might be 4-1/2", I'll have to check!) which makes this type of project so easy!

Here are my renditions ... I made the card fronts 4" x 5-1/4" and 3-3/4" x 5"

Have a great day!

Lollydoodling the Day Away ...

Had a class/gathering over the weekend and while the ladies worked away on their projects, I worked on mine ...

All were made using the Lollydoodle Cardmaking WOTG kit, with the addition of the Dot embossing folder, the Quatrefoil embossing folder, Cocoa ink, Flight of Arrows stamp set, Lagoon ink, Pear ink, Smoothie ink, Black ink, and the Heartfelt Birthday Wish stamp.

Here are the cards from the kit I made as samples for the class ...

Pop-Up Box Card

These cards are all the rage these days so thought I would give it a try ... A Tweet Hello!

Found this wonderful post about a technique I'd not used before so gave it a try ... apparently I need some practice but it was fun!

I used A Tweet (retired), Honey ink and Desert Sand ink.  I also used the Artbooking cartridge for the latticework in the back (cut at 2-1/4" real dial size) - something my upline Nancy showed me how to do (she's such a genius!), a scrap of Burlap Ribbon, and a Swiss Dot embossed background.

Jar Full of Daisies

This is a card I made just for fun - used White Daisy pigment ink for the flowers, then embossed it with Clear Embossing powder.  I then used our Blending Pen with Honey ink for the centre of the flower.  The sentiment is from our Sincere Expressions set, stamped in Cocoa ink.  Oh and for the jar contents, I used a stamp from the Laughing Lola cardmaking WOTG set (retired) stamped in Twilight ink.

Have a wonderful Family Day (it's a stat day here in BC)!

Embossing is Boss!

Oh I can't wait to use these!!!!

Here is a great video on the folders ... enjoy!!

(If you are reading this via email, please go to the website to view the video or watch it here.)

She provides some great information - I've been using embossing folders for years and never knew some of the things she mentioned!  LOVE CTMH for giving us so much more than just the product!

Don't forget for the month of February, if you purchase two packages of our fabulous cardstock, you can get the embossing folder of your choice for FREE!  We have 5 to choose from in this new catalogue and hopefully there will be more in the next!  And they're a great 5x7" size which is wonderful.

Have a wonderful day!

Chocolate Cupcakes

I've been craving chocolate lately and so far, this is as close as I've come to actually caving in to the craving ... I used the A Chocolate Affair stamp set (retired SOTM) and the Neutral Baker's Twine (retired, but we do have it now with metallic fibres in it) with Chocolate, Saddle and Cotton Candy inks.

Chevron Thank You!

While internet surfing, came across this genius card so tried to replicate it as best I could - love it!  You can leave them as is or bling it up and they look great either way!  Actually we have bling that actually fits this that I've forgotten about until just now!

Honeycomb Birthday Wishes

Hello!

I saw something similar on Pinterest and came up with these - they came together pretty quickly, using up scraps of paper, cut into hexagons with Artbooking (pg 66 @ 1-1/4"), arranged them, and stamped the sentiments with Card Chatter - Birthday (retired) using Black ink.  Easy peasy.

Balloon Best Wishes

Hello!

We have a new stamp set in the Spring/Summer catalogue that I just love - Give a Lift!  Here is the first project I've made with it.  I used various inks with my Blending Pen to colour it in, paper pieced the banner, added the Scalloped Border Punch edging and then used some Liquid Pearls to finish it all off.  Love how it turned out.

Love You XO

Hello!

Today's project is a Valentine's Day card but could also be used as an Anniversary card ... I used Artbooking (I LOVE this cart!), along with the new Cardmaking Workshop on the Go, Lollydoodle.  I also used the now retired SOTM set from January (did you get yours?) Cross-Stitch Wishes.  Inks were Cocoa and Cranberry and Desert Sand.  I also used the Swiss Dots embossing folder.

Did you know that Close to My Heart now has Embossing Folders? They're a wonderful 5x7" size which will work in most embossing machines.

We also have a wonderful special this month only, which is great especially if you need to stock up on our wonderful cardstock ... when you buy two packages of selected cardstock, you'll get the embossing folder of your choice free!

Happy Feb 1st!

Today is the beginning of a new month which means a new catalogue for Close to My Heart as well as a new Stamp of the Month so lots to share with you today!

First up, the new catalogue starts today - if you'd like to view it online, click here and the link will take you straight to it.  If you'd like a catalogue, please let me know and I'd be happy to get one to you.  You can also now, order one directly from my online site, for only $3.95 (plus shipping/taxes).

Also, our new Stamp of the Month has the cutest foxes!  Lots of ideas coming up with those!  Remember, the set is $17.95 or if you purchase $50 in product, you can get it for only $5!

Here is my first project with this set ... I used a wood embossing folder, inked it with Desert Sand ink, used Art Philosophy for the mat and the circle and a bit of Chocolate Woodgrained Washi tape on the bottom of the circle.  I then stamped and cut out the fox and the stump and added it.

Have a fabulous day!
