Thank you for our Vet!

A long while ago, I won a scrapbooking kit all about dogs and cats from a website that I can't recall at the moment.  I hadn't used it yet but decided it was time to use it - no good just sitting there getting dusty!  The paper and little cat face brad are from the kits.  The word balloon and Thank You are from Artiste I believe - will have to check since I didn't write anything down - my bad!  Will update after I've checked.  Either Artiste or Art Philosophy for sure though!

Our lovely Isobel has been not well and when we took her to the vet again, we got a wonderful woman who rather than giving up, kept on looking for an answer and eventually we discovered that our poor friend had been dealing with a parasite that only rarely shows up on tests and for whatever reason, showed up this time!  After a quick week or so on meds, she's a happy cat these days and gaining back her weight again.  I was beginning to prepare myself for losing her so I am beyond happy that this is not the case and that she is going to be here to terrorize us for a few more years yet!  LOL!

Have a great day!

Happy Birthday Buzz

This looks way better in real life than the scan shows!  I wish I knew how to take fabulous photos of my cards - maybe that is one of the things I'll work on this week!

Anyway, I used the Buzz and Bumble Scrapbooking Workshop on the Go stamp set for the flower and the bee - the bee is popped up.  The card front is embossed with a Darice Happy Birthday folder.  And then for the centres of the flowers, I used yellow stickles.

Have a great day!

Happy Easter

Hello!

Another Easter Card - I used the "Just Because" cart to cut the bunnies (pg 59, Layer 1, cut at 2" and 2.5").  The Happy Easter is from Say It in Style set in Chocolate ink.  The flower is from the Buzz & Bumble Scrapbooking WOTG stamp set, cut out, inked with Chocolate ink and some yellow stickles in the middle.  I found some glitter tape at M's at Christmas.  Paper is from M's too that I'm trying to use up.

Have a great day!

Wedding Card

Surfing on the weekend and came across this - man, oh man, this woman is incredible!

When I saw the cake, I had to try it!  So here is my version, CTMH style (Sorry about the picture quality, had to use the scanner as the camera has no flash at the moment!) :)

Materials Used:

Artiste (roses), pg 54, Shift Accent 1, cut at 1"
Slate Ink
SU! border punch

Feeling Sick?

Re-discovering some carts that I have and haven't even used yet!  So here is a get well card that has a bit of humour to it ... no stamping, just cutting, glue-ing and embossing!  Too easy-peasy!

I used the "Just Because" cart and cut everything at 4.25".   The Cuttlebug folder used was Candy Cane Stripe.

Have a great day!

Happy Birthday!

Our daughter recently turned 19 which if she were here, would mean she's now of legal age.  But as she's in the U.S., she isn't legal down there yet!  A certain irony in that, I think!

Anyway, here is the card (mini-booklet really) we sent to her and hopefully she liked it!

I love you dear girl!  Can't wait to toast your milestone birthday in person!

Have a great day!

A Bowwow Hello!

Had some fun playing today with A Bowwow!  He's so cute!  I stamped him on Kraft paper then cut him out.  The card is small but big enough to tuck a little note inside.  The inside says "Wishing you a doggone good day!".

This stamp set is only $6.95 which is really a great deal to whip up some cute little cards.

A Goodbye Card

Playing around with a card I saw on the net and thought I'd try my hand at the Cricut Craft Room while I was at it.  When I find the link again, I'll add the page that inspired this card.  The card is larger than the usual, 6.5 x 4.5.  This is a goodbye card from a group - happy for you but sad for us!

Materials Used:

CCR Basics
Art Philosophy (happy face mouth)
1" circle punch
1-1/4" circle punch
Card Word Puzzle

Have a wonderful day!

Retiring ...

I was asked to make a retirement card for a colleague that I don't really know that well so went surfing on the net for some ideas (gosh there are so many talented folks out there!) ... anyway, found variations of coffee and the quote, "retirement: the world's longest coffee break" so thought I'd go with that theme.  I had to make sure there were lots of pages in it as well for people to sign so I found a few more quotes to add to the pages.  In the end, this is what it looked like - hope she likes it!

Materials Used:  Love You a Latte cartridge (coffee cup), SU What's Brewin?, SU Like It a Latte, CTMH Desert Sand, CTMH Bamboo, CTMH Art Philosophy (ovals), computer generated sentiments, CTMH Neutral Assortment Baker's Twine

Have a great day!

Just For You

Just making some more thank you cards using the Just For You stamp set - love this set!

It's just a simple 4"x4" card.  I used the Art Philosophy cartridge for this - flower (pg 57) cut at 2.5", petal (pg 59) cut at 1.25", circle (pg 21) cut at 1".  Inks used were Honey, Slate and Sweet Leaf.  The "thanks" is from Say It In Style set (retired).

Have a great day!

Thanks Sew Much!

I needed some thank you cards so I was looking through the Artiste booklet and saw a dress form with a dress and thought to myself, oh ya, that was one of the things I really liked when I first saw the cart and of course have never done anything with!  Then started looking through my stamp sets and I knew I had a (ahem) few sets that might be appropriate and here's the end result!

Sew .. I mean so, I used the CTMH Tailor-Made (retired) set for the "sew much" and Say It in Style (retired) set for "thanks".  The dress and dress form are from the Artiste cartridge, pg 41, Accent 1 and Accent 2{shift}, cut at 3 1/2".

The dress paper is just some miscellaneous that I have lying around, trying desperately to use up.  The dress form paper is kraft.  The embossed background was the Swissdots Cuttlebug embossing folder.

Have a great day!
