Crop-o-dile ... paid in full!

Just a quick note to say that my crop-o-dile finally came in handy outside of the craft room - had to punch a new hole in a belt (saved son $$ to get it done) and it did that beautifully!

Have a great day!

Bountiful Season

Hello, just playing around and came up with this ...

Inks used were Desert Sand, Champagne and Cashmere.  Stamp set is Quick Cards - Bountiful Season and SOTM Baroque Borders for the background.

Have a great day!

Hello!

We're just putting together a pkg for my daughter who's away at University in the U.S. and made this little card to put in with it ... CTMH products are the Burlap Ribbon (love this stuff!) and the inks (Desert Sand and Indian Corn Blue) ... stamps used are Stampin Up! ... paper is assorted miscellaneous :)

Have a wonderful day!

The Swipe Hype

This looks awesome - can't wait to try it out myself!

Enjoy!

It's a Girl ...

Hello!

This was made with - yes, you guessed it, the new Close to My Heart Cricut Artiste cartridge ... I didn't take notes so I'm going on my faulty getting sick memory - hopefully I'm not too far off!  The diaper and inside card were cut at 4-1/2" and It's a Girl was cut at 1-3/4".  I made the pretty bow using my Bow Easy (2" size).  'Sewing' was done with a white gel pen.

Have a great day!

Bend It Like ...

CTMH has a new video showing yet another use of their wonderful stamps - bending them to make them work in your projects!  I actually did that a bit with the card in my last post to make the words work in the banner.

Give it a try!

Happy Anniversary!

Not mine but my parents-in-law - 56 years!  That's something you don't hear a lot!

I used Cashmere and Chocolate ink, the SOTM Baroque Borders, the sentiment is from Say It In Style, the roses from Art Philosophy, and the banner is from Artiste, cut at 1-1/4"  (pg 58 Shift-Accent 3).

Hope they like it!

(It was hard to get a decent picture of it - trust me, it does look much better in person!)

Cheers!

Burlap Flower Birthday

I saw this youtube from Mandy Leahy yesterday and wanted to try making the flower - also wanted to make a birthday card so it was a good project to pull together.

The flower came together quite quickly using the Burlap Ribbon as did the whole card really and I got to use my hot glue gun which hasn't seen action in a long while ... the background ribbons are cut from Kudos, one of the 3 stamp sets that came with the Artiste cartridge, colours are Cranberry and I'll have to check which blue but I think Indian Corn Blue (will update once I've confirmed).  The Happy Birthday was stamped with Versamark onto white paper and then embossed with clear embossing powder.  Then I stamped the rest of it, using the Cranberry ink and using the stamp set that came with the Art Philosophy cartridge. I rubbed off the ink from the embossed Happy Birthday with a cloth so that it showed up. I used a sturdy Kraft paper for the card base since the flower is a bit heavier than usual.  Also attached the flower to the card with the hot glue.  This worked for me, since I will be hand-delivering this card.

It is wonderful that the stamp sets tell you what size to cut on the Cricut and the Artiste stamp sets also include the page numbers which is wonderful!  Like most people, I only have limited time to craft so anything that can speed things up a bit, is a great thing!

Hope your day is going well - let me know if I can help you with any of your crafting needs or if you want to learn a new technique - I'm always up for a challenge :)  And if you are visiting, leave me a comment - I'd love to hear from you!

2 New Cards

Hello!

Had to have some fun yesterday after a very stressful day so I quickly made these two cards ...

This first one was made with the Artiste cartridge (which I am loving more and more daily!).  I used Cranberry ink, Cricut CTMH Artiste cartridge stamp set - Kudos, and the Cuttlebug embossing folder Candy Cane Stripes for the background.  I cut the ribbon and ribbon ends as suggested on the stamp set at 2-1/2 and 3/4 respectively from page 35 of the booklet.  The sentiment is also from this stamp set.

This one is not a CTMH card (except for the inks which were Indian Corn Blue for the sentiment and Desert Sand for the hoop) but because I am also a stitcher I had to have this stamp set ... I used the square lattice embossing folder after I stamped the sentiment and then punched it out with the 1-3/4" circle punch.  The needle was stamped with Versamark and then silver embossing powder.

Have a great day!

Clearly the Best!

Good morning!

It's early here on the west coast - I love this time on Saturdays when the whole weekend is still ahead!  It is a long weekend here so hopefully lots of creating time ahead!

Just going through the news from CTMH headquarters and saw that they are going to be having a video series starting September 4th ... I'm looking forward to watching it since I'm always looking for new ways to do new things!

Check it out!

Hopefully I'll have some creations for you by the end of this lovely weekend!

Have a great day!
